Information Systems are an essential tool to convert technology into a competitive driver within organizations. The Information Management Research Center (IMRC) was created in direct response to the demand for specific knowledge in the field of information systems management in Spain. Its research activity is oriented to the development of new concepts, models, tools and techniques that help directors to lead firms, which are operating in increasingly dynamic and information-intensive environments.

Objetives

The IMRC, a joint initiative of Accenture and Instituto de Empresa, is an centre dedicated to innovative research focused on providing thought leadership, actionable insight and practical ideas on information systems and their impact on Spanish business organisations.

Activities

The IMRC develops research activities, communication, training and closely related to the Spanish business community. Research activities are focused on three main lines:

  1. Spanish IT Governance and Leadership Observatory. An observatory that identifies and analyses the opportunities, challenges and trends in the field of information systems management, and its impact on business organisations and government agencies (SIGLO).
  2. An analysis of Customer Relations Management (CRM).
  3. An analysis of Supplier Relations Management (SRM).
