backCentre for the Financial Sector from PwC and IE Business School
The Centre for the Financial Sector, launched by PwC and IE Business School, will act independently of banks and other financial institutions and will analyze the challenges facing the Spanish and international financial sector, the future of its regulation and the changes that the sector will have to make to avoid new financial crises in the future.
The Center will promote the organization of meetings and the publication of research work aimed at achieving a more effective and competitive financial sector. The main lines of action will focus on the restructuring of the financial sector, international trends, the new regulatory framework, and the future of credit institutions.
Main subjects for the Centre are:
- Macroeconomic analysis and its impact in the sector
- Analysis of international trends
- Regulatory framework
- Restructuring of the Spanish financial sector
- Strategic issues of the financial sector
- Perspectives of the Spanish saving banks
The Centre considers essential the promotion of its activities, that is why the Centre will organize workshops to place the Centre as a reference point for the sector, roundtables with participation of regulators and experts, lectures and presentations of the results of the studies, as well as carrying out other studies or specific analysis sponsored by some institutions, everything depending on the evolution of the sector.
