The mission of the Centre for Human Resources at Instituto de Empresa is to provide support for HR directors and specialists that enables them to update their professional skills. The main objective is to provide a platform for the generation and exchange of knowledge in different areas of human resources, with particular emphasis on emerging issues that may have a marked impact on management capacities in the near future.

Activities carried out by the Centre include:

The Instituto de Empresa Human Resource Benchmarking Club: A platform for the exchange of best practices and reflection on the management indicators that help HR managers to study decisions related to investment in HR management. It constitutes a network of professional counterparts who can identify and understand best practices in human resource management through a process of comparison and pooling of knowledge.

Observatory on Internal Communication and Identity: Instituto de Empresa, Capital Humano Journal and Inforpress consulting firm have joined forces in this initiative, the first of its kind in Spain. The Observatory on Internal Communication constitutes a shared space for the exchange of experiences related to internal communication issues that play a pivotal role in today’s companies. It is a continuous debate and research forum that undertakes deep analysis of the most effective and innovative actions and projects. The main activities of the Observatory on Internal Communication are comprised of the Employee Portal Award, Internal Communication Study, and Internal Communication Forum.

E&E HR Awards for Innovation in HR: The Centre for Human Resources coordinates the awards that are presented each year by Expansión y Empleo in recognition of those firms that are innovating in the field of human resources. These culminate in the presentation of a report expounding the most relevant aspects of experiences presented.

Organisation of Seminars and Conferences: The Centre permits professionals in the field of human resources to keep permanently abreast of trends by offering a platform for debate and knowledge through seminars, round tables, etc. The fact that it has access to Instituto de Empresa’s network of experts means that it can offer a balance between a conceptual, academic approach and the practical perspective brought by practising directors.

Applied Research: The Centre develops lines of applied research on issues of interest in the field of human resources through collaboration with strategic partners: effectiveness indicators and HR balanced scorecards, high-commitment systems and employee participation, the creation of internal brands, etc.
