5th of May, 1:00 p.m., Shigeru Ban, Japanese architect behind The Pompidou Centre’s Metz Museum and Japanese Pavilion at Hanover, talks to Martha Thorne.
Martha Thorne, Associate Dean of External Relations at IE School of Architecture and Design, will be one of the participants at the Hay Festival in Budapest that will take place the 4th and 5th of May 2012.
As The Telegraph explains: "Hay Budapest will feature an exciting mix of Hungarian, British and Spanish authors, including Dragomán György, Ben Okri, Shigeru Ban, Tibor Fischer and Hanif Kureishi.
All the events will take place in the heart of Budapest, whose extensive World Heritage Site includes the banks of the Danube, the Buda Castle Quarter, Andrassy Avenue, Heroes' Square and the Millennium Underground Railway, the second oldest in the world.
