Online Conference: The Art of Oral Advocacy

An attorney lives by his or her ability to persuade and present arguments. Clients pay for this specific service and expect nothing less than the best.
In law school we learn much about legal theory and laws but spend relatively little time dedicated to defending a client's position or persuading others to agree with a particular point of view. As a result many young lawyers spend their first years of practice trying to adopt methods of persuasion and argumentation without any prior training or guidance.
The idea behind this session is to provide that base by presenting participants a method of organizing, preparing and focusing any oral argument. By adopting a methodical approach in identifying the most important parts of an argument you will be able to more effectively present and find the art within oral advocacy.
