The Admission Process

Once the candidate submits the application form, the Evaluation Committee gathers to select the best candidates. It is essential to provide detailed information on relevant academic and professional achievements, together with aspirations and motivations that could support your application. The demanding nature of the DBA program requires a very strict recruitment process. Only exceptional candidates will be selected for interview.

The application is an integral piece of the admissions process at IE. The application allows future IE students to develop in writing their personal and professional experience, as well as outline their future aspirations and goals.

The application will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee and is also used as an informational tool within the interview and final admission decision.

To apply to the program, candidates must hold an MBA, a very high level of English is required and, at least 8 years of Management experience are necessary. Candidates will be required to submit a research proposal of 2000-3000 words explaining their research aims and interest. IE will only consider applications for which the school can provide appropriate supervision in the chosen subject.

Interviews

The personal interaction of the interview gives us the insight into who you are, your hopes and motivation to do a DBA program. The Candidate will have to go over an interview with the Academic Director of the Program. The candidate will also, be interviewed by one or two members of our faculty. Only outstanding applicants will be called for an interview. These interviews will be done face to face or by phone or videoconference.

Final Decision

After the interviews are conducted during the month of March, it will take, roughly, 1 month for the DBA Committee to review your file and provide you with a final decision.
Admission to the DBA Program is valid, only, for the intake you are applying to.

Once enrolled, your main point of contact with all the different departments’ part of your IE experience will be the Campus Online where all announcements from the Academic Department and other departments will be posted. Once you have access, don’t forget to check it regularly!
The DBA staff will, always, be working beside you towards making your IE Experience a smoother and an altogether more enjoyable one.
