Our learning experience
IE's Blended methodology is characterized by its eminent practicality, based on the case method and on teamwork. The topics of each subject are based on real cases and are analyzed and discussed by students in forums and videoconferences under the guidance of the professor. Frequent, almost daily contact between students is fundamental. The technology we use allows us to replicate the methodologies of on-campus classes and to enjoy the same experience you would in an on-campus class. Any given week on the Global MBA+ will start on a Friday, with two classes given via a live videoconference. Then from Monday to Thursday, the following two classes will take place in the form of debate forum, and you decide when to make your contributions to the discussion at the time that suits you best; as the Online Campus is active 24/7.
Classes through the IE Online Campus
Live videoconferences
These sessions allow both teachers and students to transmit audio and video material live via a webcam. They take place every Friday from 17:30 to 19:00 and 19:30 to 21:00 (Madrid Local Time) and attendance is mandatory. It will be your weekly face-to-face contact with the professor and your course mates outside your regular online group meetings. This is your time to participate; ask questions and provide answers to others, present your material and just take it all in ... Every session is used to its full potential to explore course topics in depth, discuss the given assignments, and promote debate and participation.
Online forums
From Monday to Thursday the sessions take place via online forums. As the online campus is active 24/7, you can choose the time that best suits your schedule in which to participate. The number of contributions to each forum is limited to ensure a smooth flow in the communication threads (5 brief entries per participant). Once your contribution is published in the online forum, there is no taking it back. This promotes a high level of thought and analysis before publishing anything, and ensures the best possible quality from your input. The online discussions are moderated by the professors, who guide students' reflections in order to obtain the best possible results for each case.

An essential part of any MBA is to establish a solid network of social and business contacts. The combination of teamwork, videoconferences, and regular meetings in Madrid guarantees consistent, almost daily contact, between students. The flexibility of the online format means that you are able to be part of an international class. It's a place where professionals of different nationalities, residing in their own countries or developing international careers in the most diverse locations come together to share an experience that will impact and change their lives forever.
… and face-to-face study
Face-to-face classes in Madrid include master classes, workshops and conferences. They take place in the Madrid Campus every 6 weeks on Friday afternoons 16:00- 19:00 and Saturday mornings 9:00 – 19:00. Classes at IE Business School provide a real opportunity for students to gain an understanding of new concepts, tools and the fundamentals of management through analysis of companies and real life situations. Students are assigned to small working groups, carefully formed to ensure maximum diversity where cases are discussed and prepared.
