The Global MBA+ benefits from an innovative and flexible format, designed to suit our students’ professional and personal goals by combining face-to-face learning with interactive online periods. Students do not have to sacrifice any work commitments yet can enjoy access to an international network of coursemates following the program from different locations around the globe. This format truly reflects the working practices of the world we live in today, and helps everybody to remain connected without actually having to relocate. The program is divided into two parts: Core Period and Module.
The Core Period covers all the fundamental areas of business and boosts the management skills of our students. Learning is complemented with a global outlook that allows our students to make the transition to executive management positions. The Core Period comprises about 2/3 of the total program. It kicks off with a week-long pre-program following with a week in Madrid and continues via the IE Online Campus.
The Module applies your knowledge acquired during the Core Period to your area of interest, reinforcing it with more specific content and helping students gain access to a network centered on their area of interest. You may choose 1of our offered Modules; changing the program format and language of instruction if you wish. The final module comprises about 1/3 of the total program.
The Global MBA+ program offers a host of personalization options:
- Choose your language of study for the Core Period (English or Spanish).
- Decide the format of your Core Period (Blended, Blended Squared, or Face-to-Face).
- Select the Module in which you wish to specialize.
A Blended experience Blended program students
The program begins with an orientation week that will help you become familiarized with IE's Blended learning methodology based in the Case Method By learning how to get around the IE Online Campus, you will be introduced to the main tools you will need in class during the program: videoconferences and discussion forums. These will allow you to constantly maintain debates on case studies with your professors and course mates.

These tools, and method of working in virtual teams, reflect the reality of companies in a global business environment, where suppliers, customers and partners make optimal use of a connected world.
During this week, we introduce the first two courses of the program and hold several workshops aimed at developing managerial skills.
NOV Intake 2:
This is the time to meet your future class mates and professors in person. It is with them that you will share classes, group projects and a learning experience that will mark the development of your career. Madrid will be your meeting point and IE's headquarters will host the venue where the first classes of the program will be held.
Once the week in Madrid is over, the program continues online. This first period enables students from various academic fields and professional backgrounds to homogenize their knowledge. It is the time to acquire the tools and skills that will be used online during the second period as well as during the specialization classes.
NOV Intake 2:
In this online period of the MBA, you will study two subjects at a time. This allows subject matter to be studied in progressively greater depth, making it easier for students to assimilate new information. The estimated amount of time you will have to dedicate to your studies is about 20 to 25 hours.
During this period students will acquire a global and integrated outlook on the actions and strategies of different organizations. It is in this period where each problem that may affect a business is analyzed in its full detail, which will highlight the impacts on the affected business areas, and will ultimately result in the integration of the knowledge that students will have acquired up to this point.
MAR Intake 2:
In every online period you will work with a different group that's been set up by the academic directors. This will allow you to experience firsthand the challenges and opportunities that working in a team entails; a key ingredient to corporate success.

They have to learn how to manage the threats and opportunities that arise in an increasingly complex and competitive environment where it becomes more difficult to maintain a competitive advantage.
