Our learning experience
IE's Blended methodology is characterized by its eminent practicality, based on the case method and on team work. The topics in each subject are based on real cases and analyzed and discussed by students in forums and videoconferences under the guidance of the professor. Frequent, almost daily contact between students is fundamental. The technology we use allows us to replicate the methodologies of on-site classes and to enjoy the same experience as you would in an on-site class. Any given week on the Global MBA+ will start on a Saturday, with two classes given via a live videoconference. Then from Monday to Thursday, the following two classes will take place in the form of debate forums, and you decide when to make your contributions to the discussion at the time that suits you best, as the Online Campus runs actively 24/7.
Class sessions on the IE Online Campus
Live videoconferences
These sessions allow both professors and students to transmit audio and video material live via webcam. The videoconference sessions are mandatory and have two time options:
•Saturday mornings from 11AM to 2:30PM local Madrid time
•Saturday afternoons from 4PM to 7:30PM local Madrid time
These sessions will be your weekly face-to-face contact with the professor and your coursemates outside your regular online group meetings.
Online forums
From Monday through Thursday the sessions take place via the online forums. As the online campus runs actively 24/7, you can choose the time that best suits your schedule to participate. The number of contributions to each forum is limited to ensure a smooth flow in the communication threads (5 brief entries per participant). Once your contributions is published on the online forum, there is no taking it back. This promotes a high level of thought and analysis before publishing anything, and ensures the best possible quality from your input. The online discussions are moderated by the professors, who guide students' reflections in order to obtain the best possible results for each case.

During the online period…
An essential part of this specialized program is the opportunity to establish a solid contact network. The combination of virtual group work, videoconferences and weekly debates guarantees close, almost daily contact between students. The flexibility of the online format allows you to share your class with fellow students located all over the world. Professionals of different nationalities residing in their own countries, or developing their international careers in the most diverse locations.
… and the face-to-face periods
The week in Madrid, coupled with the Global Immersion Week in an international destination (attendance optional), provide new opportunities to strengthen the contacts you have made. During these periods, you will mix with students from the Spanish version of the program, whom you will get to know during extracurricular leisure time. Thus, you will have another opportunity to expand your network beyond the confines of your class. You will also add the network you establish with your fellow students on the Module that you have chosen to study.
