Admissions Process
How to apply to +Healthcare Management
The admission to the +Healthcare Management module is integrated in the definite admission to the Executive MBA+ or Global MBA+ programs. If the language of instruction of the specialization module differs from the chosen core MBA, language proficiency must be demonstrated during the interview stage of the admissions process. If required, candidates will be asked to submit the respective title to support their language proficiency. Alumni that have previously acquired an MBA degree with IE and wish to take +Healthcare Management as an add-on module must submit their updated CV and carry out an interview with a member of the Admissions Committee. All interviews will be carried out in the language of instruction of each specialization module.
If you think that the +Healthcare Management specialized program is right for you, start your online application at www.ie.edu/app.
Apply
The application form is an integral part of the admission process at IE as it allows potential IE students to express their personal and professional experiences, as well as outline their future goals and aspirations. It is here where applicants have the opportunity to demonstrate their records of success and make themselves stand out of the crowd by sharing their achievements and future objectives.
Applicants are able to work on their application over several sessions and it will only become available to the Admissions Department upon submission.
Once the application form has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee applicants can expect to hear back from them within 1-3 weeks. Successful candidates will then be invited to the next stage in the process, in which the application will be used as a reference for the interview and final admission decision.
Interview
Candidates who have completed and submitted their online application and successfully pass the initial assessment by the Admissions Committee are invited to the interview stage.
This phase examines the documentation provided in the online application in greater detail, and is set to evaluate whether the applicant’s profile meets program specific requirements and adds value to the class dynamic. As the interview is a fundamental element of the admissions process, it is recommended that it be conducted in person. If an applicant is not able to meet a member of the Admissions Committee on campus in Madrid, interviews may be scheduled via videoconference (Skype), in coordination with an IE event, or with a representative at one of IE’s offices located across 25 countries all over the world.
Final decision
After the completion of the interview the Admissions Committee will evaluate all aspects of the candidate’s application as a whole and reach its final decision, which will be formally communicated by letter or e-mail.
Admission is valid for two intakes, the one to which the candidate has applied to and the next. In exceptional cases admission validity may be reconsidered for a later intake if duly authorized by the Admissions Committee.
Admission does not guarantee a place in the program.
Therefore candidates are recommended to secure a place by making a place reservation as early on as possible.
