Gregory E. Truman is Professor of Information Systems at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.  Professor Truman received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he majored in information systems and minored in strategic management. He has a Master of Science in Information Systems from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Minnesota.  
Professor Truman has broad teaching experience in a variety of MBA and undergraduate courses such as strategic information technology management, business model development and analysis, web design, data and database management, and programming.  

Professor Truman’s current research is in two areas.  Broadly characterized, one area examines the nature of proficient IT usage and the knowledge development processes through which proficiency levels are attained. The second area examines technology-mediated learning processes in traditional learning environments.  His research has appeared in Management Information Systems Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Communications of the ACM, Information & Management, Behaviour and Information Technology, Journal of End User Computing, International Journal of Electronic Commerce, and the Journal of Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce among others.

Prior to his academic career, Professor Truman worked as a systems analyst in the manufacturing and financial service industries.  He engages firms of assorted industries in IT consulting projects on an ongoing basis.
