Jie Mein (JM) is interested in how information technologies transform organizations, businesses and individuals and develops her research projects around this question. Currently, her research focus is in the area of information technology in healthcare. Her most recent research examines the impact of traditional information technology (e.g. electronic medical record systems) in hospitals and online health communities.

Her work is published in top tier IS journals such as Information Systems Research and MIS Quarterly.

JM is currently teaching Information Systems and Information Technology & Innovation at IE Business School in the Master in International Management and the International MBA programs respectively.
