The IE Alumni Association is acutely aware of the importance of recycling in the form of continuous training programs, and in order to support and promote IE´s alumni we constantly seek to innovate, spending a great deal of time and effort on the development of courses, seminars, round tables and forums.

We examine new paradigms and tools and burning issues in all functional areas of the business organisation and in different sectors in order to keep our alumni abreast of knowledge and business practices, while acquiring up-to-the minute management skills.

The Alumni Association has come to provide a major platform for networking among all students that have done IE programs. It´s a meeting point, a space for sharing knowledge, training activities, information and for exchanging professional experiences with friends and alumni from other intakes and programs. The alumni clubs are designed to respond to the need to strengthen this network, made up of all those who hold IE in common. It is this spirit that underlie the academic, leisure and special and general interest activities organised periodically by alumni clubs, which also help IE graduates keep in contact with the school and enhance their professional development.

The Alumni Association works to strengthen the feeling of belonging that alumni have toward IE, and fosters the development of leisure and interest activities. Hence, alumni enjoy opportunities to travel, go on cultural visits, and take part in sporting events that provide a pleasant environment for meeting up with colleagues.

The Alumni Association maintains its firm commitment to the IE Mission by:

• Promoting the Instituto de Empresa Chair in Corporate Ethics and Sustainability;
• Fostering the creation of new businesses through the Entrepreneurship Department and ICEVED (Centre for Entrepreneurship and Ventures Development);
• Providing support with careers advice and help in the search for work through the Careers Management Centre;
• Offering legal and tax counsel; Awarding the title of IE MBA Honoris Causa;
• Appointing Members of Honour;
• Presenting prizes for the best professor and student of each Masters program;
• Providing access to the Virtual Library;
• And placing documents and archives related to conferences, seminars and courses organised by the Association at the disposal of alumni through its virtual community;

Membership of the Alumni Association brings big advantages for alumni who wish to take advanced programs or a master´s degree at IE or one of its associated colleges, with discounts of 25% on Master programs and 30% on seminars and conferences.

The Association has also achieved big discounts for its members on a broad range of products and services offered by leading companies from many sectors.

These agreements cover areas like car hire or purchase, couriers, telephones, hotels and holidays, insurance, computer products, publishers, language courses, gyms, etc.

The Association keeps its members abreast of the latest findings in the business and legal sectors through its prestigious journal, Ideas Empresariales which has circulation of 25,000 copies. Members receive news of the latest market trends through the Association´s Newsletter, Boletín Económico, and information on agreements that give them special rates with different companies, in the form of the IE Alumni Association´s book of agreements. They are also kept informed, by way of an events calendar, of all the activities organised daily by the Association. The Annual Alumni Conference is a major event that offers leading national and international speakers in the academic, political and corporate arena, and is a must for all alumni. This year the day to set aside in your agenda is November 24.
