A firm grasp of concepts, theories, techniques, etc. is considered as merely one more stage on the road to achieving a global view of the company.
The teaching methods used in the Global MBA Online are based on practical and inter-active learning processes, given that we feel this to be the best methodology for training somebody who is developing his/her business activity in a continuously changing environment. |
| Case Method |
This is the main methodology used for the programme. During the general sessions, both face-to-face or online, business situations previously analysed as cases are discussed. Practical case studies describe real business situations where decisions have to be made.
The tools of theoretical analysis are examined either via explanations in the classroom or by on-line documentation and debate. The teaching notes given to the participants introduce and develop the concepts involved in understanding the case. |
| Teamwork |
Participants are divided into groups for specific cases according to their profile and background. These work groups share experiences and knowledge, thereby enriching discussions and the learning process. During the online training periods, teamwork is carried out regardless of the geographical location of the participants. The communication tools selected for the programme eliminate distance and allow participation at the most convenient time for each student, thus generating an ideal communication method.
The communities’ enhanced activities add value to teamwork in the form of blogs or online encyclopaedias. |
| Study |
| The Global MBA Online has been designed for professionals who continue their work during the programme. It should, however, be borne in mind that making the best use of the course entails a great deal of personal study and group work. The total workload is estimated between ten and thirty hours a week during the online learning experiences, depending on the pattern chosen by the learner. |
| Conferences |
| Certain sessions of the course are presented in the form of video conferences selected in accordance with the participants´ level of experience and knowledge of the contents. |
| Reports and Projects |
| Whether undertaken individually or in groups, studies of specific issues are carried out and reports on the cases discussed, defining solutions to the problems raised on each occasion. Similarly, projects dealing with real cases will be treated using a global vision of the programme. |
| Role PlayING |
| In certain fields the teams must prepare and play different parts in the resolution of cases, particularly those concerning negotiation. |
