The Global MBA Online is a specially designed program flexible enough to be studied online from anywhere in the world in conjunction with a full work schedule and family life. With no need to make frequent trips to Madrid or spend long periods away from home the course is completed over 16 months without forcing students to take a break in their career. While fundamentally an online course, two short residential periods provide the opportunity to network with classmates and professors.
Utilizing both the Global MBA Online virtual campus (with asynchronous online sessions and live interactive video ones) and two short residential periods (for face-to-face learning and development), the Global MBA Online is a completely new generation of online training, emerging as the most advanced concept in modern business education.
The Global MBA Online is aimed at young professionals who want to pursue a quality MBA without leaving their career. Through the Global MBA Online, learning may be combined with work and family duties, while still allowing students to gain the same knowledge, competencies and title as they would have learnt through studying a full-time face-to-face MBA program.
CerrarIE Business School's Global MBA Online, lasting 16 months, introduces subjects progressively, accommodating students from varying academic backgrounds. This allows students who have no specific prior experience in the areas covered, to participate actively in the course. IE Business School employs the case method, as well as other techniques in its training, providing hands-on experience in real life cases.
The schedule for the video conference classes is Saturdays from 11:00 to 14:30 (Madrid time). The remaining classes are asynchronous and take place between Monday and Thursday at participant’s convenience.

The demanding nature of the Global MBA Online means that a large number of candidates are subject to a rigorous selection process. The main objective of the admissions process is to select students with the highest potential.
The admissions process is a rolling process and as such there is no deadline for applications for a particular intake. However, given the limited number of places on the program, we recommend that you embark on the process many months or even a year before you intend to start.

CerrarCandidates pay a non-refundable application fee of €120 to cover administrative costs
The tuition fees for the Global MBA Online September 2008 intake amount to €35,000 + €1,100 (contribution to the IE Business School Foundation).
Admission is valid for two years, allowing the successful applicant up to two years to reserve a place on an intake, thus allowing students to plan their MBA experience. To reserve a place on the Global MBA Online, intake students are required to make a deposit equivalent to 20% of the total program fees (€7,000) + the contribution to the IE Business School Foundation (€1,100).
