Scholarships for Master of Management






Scholarship Program

The Scholarship program grants 2 scholarships that cover up to 50% of the tuition fees for each of the following programs: Master in Financial Management, Master of Management in Marketing, Master of Management in Telecom & Digital Business.

Scholarship Sponsors

This program is sponsored by the IE Foundation, which works to promote sustainable development through business education. The main aim of the IE Foundation is to provide young people with access to the business world, and to offer training programs for professionals in the different areas that comprise a company. Additional activities include arranging scholarships, research projects and the creation of a special fund for the publication of business, legal and fiscal texts. Thus the Foundation generates opportunities for young people starting out on their career, fostering the entrepreneurial spirit that is so vital for economic and social development.

Additionally, for the Master of Management in Marketing and Master of Management in Telecom & Digital Business the program supporting sponsors and partners have created a scholarship pool for this aim.

Eligibility Criteria

These Scholarships are aimed at outstanding candidates for this specialised master programs, who fulfil the following criteria:

- Admission to the Master in Financial Management, Master of Management in Marketing, Master of Management in Telecom & Digital Business.
- Outstanding academic and, if available, professional performance
- Proven Leadership Skills

Deadlines

The application deadline is March 15, 2007.
Should there be any funding left available after first round offers have been accepted, there will be two additional rounds:

2nd round deadline: May 15, 2007
3rd round deadline: July 15, 2007

Selection Process

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria should present the following:

1. CV (1 page)

2. Two essays (each min. 250, max. 500 words) on the following topics:

  • 2a.Why should you be granted a scholarship? What responsibilities come along with being a scholarship recipient? Please include a financial plan explaining how you intend to finance the program and living costs a) with the scholarship award and b) without the scholarship award.

  • 2b.The second essay is focused on the program you're applying to, so please choose accordingly:
    Master in Financial Management: why is it important for finance professionals to have management skills? Do you consider relevant to take courses in this area?
    Master of Management in Marketing: in the era of globalisation, do you think that innovation is a key factor for succeeding in business? Why?
    Master of Management in Telecom & Digital Business: how do you think the convergence process of technologies and businesses will affect our lives in the next 10 years?

3. Obligatory documents:

  • 3a.The last 3 payslips of the scholarship applicant or the person who will be paying the program fees.

  • 3b.Bank statements from the bank his/her payslip is paid into, signed and stamped by said bank.


4. Recommended documents:

  • 4a.Bank statements and/or latest tax return of the applicant or the person who will be paying the program fees.

  • 4b.Any other document that could provide further evidence of the fulfilment of the criteria on the basis of which the scholarship is awarded.


* In order to clarify any aspect of the scholarship application, IE will decide the need of a further interview by phone or in person subsequent to the sending of the required documentation.
