Because of insight gained through her studies and work experiences in Finland, Germany, France, Poland, Austria, Belgium and Spain, Charlotte Leskinen believes in the importance of the capability of today’s lawyers to work in multicultural and multi-linguistic environments. She holds a degree in Law from the University of Helsinki, Finland, with Erasmus experiences in France and Germany, a M.A. in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe, Natolin, Poland and a Diploma of Advanced Studies in EU Law from the Complutense University of Madrid. She is currently writing her Ph.D. thesis on private enforcement of EC competition law at the Complutense University of Madrid.
She is on leave from the Finnish Competition Authority where she has worked as a Senior Research Officer for four years. She has also worked as a trainee in the DG Competition of the European Commission and the Austrian Ministry of Environment. During her years as an undergraduate student she worked as an assisting inspector in the Trade Register of the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland.
At IE Law School, Charlotte Leskinen is currently teaching European Union law but she plans to orient her research and future teaching activities also towards European and International Competition law, Intellectual Property law, Comparative Administrative Economic law and the law of Regulatory Agencies and Supervisory Bodies.
