Dear Sir/Madam
On May 5-7, 2004, the city of Atlanta will host the Sumaq Summit 2004: International Business Strategies in Latin America, to be held at the Omni hotel -CNN Center.
The event is organized by the Sumaq Alliance, comprised of Instituto de Empresa (IE) in Europe and seven other schools from different countries in Latin America, all leaders in their respective markets (INCAE in Central America; EGADE del TEC de Monterrey in Mexico; Fundação Getulio Vargas de São Paulo in Brazil; Universidad de los Andes in Colombia; IESA in Venezuela; Pontificia Universidad Católica in Chile; and Universidad de San Andrés in Argentina). The Alliance has a joint faculty of over 500 professors, all specialists in executive education with doctorates from leading universities worldwide.
This first edition is to be held in Atlanta at the express invitation of the Governor of Georgia, Sonny Perdue, in view of Atlanta's growing importance as a gateway to Latin American Markets.
The program aims to be one of the most important events in the corporate calendar for companies with interests in Latin America, not only on this occasion but also on an annual basis. The main objective is to provide a platform for entrepreneurs, politicians, academics and the media to debate the latest trends in management and business opportunities in Latin American markets.
In addition to specific sessions, each day the Summit will offer participants ample opportunities for establishing contacts and extending corporate networks at luncheons and cocktails, designed to bring together participants, lecturers and distinguished speakers.
I enclose a program for the event and would like to add that I am at your disposal should you need any further information.
Hoping that this event is of interest to you and your management team,
Yours sincerely,
José Luis Alvarez
Academic Director of the Program
