THE PROGRAM

The Global Master in Business Analytics and Big Data is divided into three terms and covers four subject areas, bringing you a dynamic and integrated learning experience. The 17-month course ensures your accelerated and flexible professional development, allowing work-life balance. This part-time program gives you all the resources you need to succeed. Courses are taught both by live video conferencing and online discussion boards, which give you all the benefits of a face-to-face classroom, but with more flexibility. You’ll also being able to interact with faculty 24/7 on the online campus.

The Global Master in Business Analytics and Big Data consists of a blend of courses taught by live videoconferencing and discussion forums, that replicate the experience of a face-to-face classroom, and interaction with faculty on a 24/7 online campus.

TEAM CHALLENGES

As part of the program, students will participate in three intensive team challenges in which they will work directly with industry experts in a hands-on learning experience. In each of the three challenges, students give a final presentation to a panel of judges with expertise in the area.

In this challenge, IBM gives students a real-world business situation and the team will have to come up with a data-based tool or technology to solve the problem.

Students will be given data sets from two industries and will be tasked with using analytical techniques to find actionable insights to help three different clients from three distinct industries: telecommunications, banking, and tourism.

Here, students will brainstorm a big data application and develop it to be used for a possible start-up. Students will use the skills they’ve acquired in the three program modules to turn an idea into an enterprise.
