Segovia has a wide range of shops from well-known international brands to small boutiques and craft shops.
Just like a typical medieval city in which the majority of the establishments were grouped around the main square, in Segovia the shops are located in the Plaza Mayor and in the surrounding streets.
Segovia is a shoppers’ paradise compared to other European cities as the shops are open until 20:00.
Commercial hours:
Monday to Friday: 10:00 to 13:30 and 17:00 to 20:00
Saturday: 10:00 to 13:30
Sunday and holidays: closed
The street markets are also part of the shopping scene in Segovia and are a great place to buy all sorts of goods from clothes to flowers and vegetables. The markets are held from 09.00 – 14.00 on Tuesdays in the San Jose District, on Thursdays in the Plaza Mayor and on Saturdays in the Plaza del Carrasco.
If you are looking for something bigger there are two shopping malls in Segovia. The Luz de Castilla mall is located on the edge of the city and the Almuzara mall is situated in the Calle Real in the center of Segovia.

I feel comfortable in Segovia ......Alex Warzecha
I have a friend in Salamanca and another in Madrid. Seems like their experience has been good but they haven’t connected with the people as well as I have. It's kind of a smaller city and it’s the size I feel comfortable with.

There is a lot to do here ......Cécile Houlès
I was used to living in big cities and I wasn’t sure what it would be like in a small city lie this but I found there is in fact a lot of activity and a lot going on here.

You have the peace of living in the country and a small city......Teymour Benet
You have the peace of living in the country and a small city, but at the same time you’re 25 minutes away from Madrid.
