Onal Vural joined the Entrepreneurship Faculty at IE in 2011. Before joining IE, Onal studied at the London Business School in United Kingdom, where he earned his Ph.D. in Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Onal’s research focuses on design and coordination issues in dynamic environments including collaborations in invention teams and inter-organizational exchanges in new product development. He is particularly interested in how the design and coordination of work in invention teams affect the impact of resulting inventions. He has presented his studies in prominent conferences in the Management field, such as the Academy of Management, Academy of International Business and EGOS.

Onal’s interests include technology entrepreneurship, design of invention teams and management of innovation. Prior to joining the IE, Onal has taught at the London School of Economics Summer School in Entrepreneurship. He finds the experience of teaching in an international environment enriching and inspiring.
