IE, new academic partner of Círculo Fortuny

IE is the new corporate academic partner of Circulo Fortuny, the only Spanish association recognized worldwide as the representative of high-end Spanish firms and industries.

The agreement was signed in the presence of the presidents of both institutions, Diego del Alcázar and Carlos Falcó, accompanied by further key participants who included Martin Boehm, Dean of IE Business School.

IE and Círculo Fortuny are now set to work jointly on research in the premium and luxury sector, following on from IE’s extensive work in the field with its Program for Strategic Management of the Luxury Universe, and with research projects undertaken by the IE and Mastercard Observatory on the Premium Market  and Prestige Products. The new agreement will also involve collaborating with forums and conferences related with the luxury sector which are of interest to both IE and Circulo Fortuny.

“IE’s support will further strengthen Círculo Fortuny’s role as a promoter of excellence in the Spanish business community,” said Carlos Falcó, Marques of Griñón, and Executive President of Círculo Fortuny. “IE offers education driven by innovation, global vision, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Joining forces with IE is, without doubt, an extraordinary opportunity to better achieve our mission of contributing toward Spain’s international image.”

“Teaming up with Círculo Fortuny will bring added impetus to IE’s continuous commitment to shape leaders with a special focus on innovation, and a humanistic and entrepreneurial approach for the premium and luxury sectors,” says Martin Boehm, Dean of IE Business School. “This field has been one of IE’s key focal points for over a decade now, through initiatives like the Executive Development Program for Strategic Management of the Luxury Universe and the activities of the IE and Mastercard Observatory on the Premium Market and Prestige Products.”

IE Business School offers a technology-driven learning ecosystem for leaders who make a real difference in the world through innovation, global vision, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a unique focus on humanities.
