Matthias Tietz - Entrepreneurship

Matthias Tietz joins the Entrepreneurship Area. He is originally from Germany and holds a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and Strategy from Richard Ivey School of Business. He also holds an MBA from Nanyang Business School, Singapore as well as a Master of Arts in Strategy and International Management from University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Matthias Tietz’s research interests include the motivation, venturing process, and performance of intrapreneurs (corporate entrepreneurs).

Professor Tietz has taught courses in “Strategy and Entrepreneurship” and “Communication, Motivation, Delegation” in Executive Education programs in China and MacedoniaHe has also been guest lecturer in Ivey MSc Class of “Entrepreneurship & Growth”.

Fabio Feriozzi - Finance

Fabio Feriozzi joins the Finance Area. Professor Feriozzi is from Italy and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Madrid’s Carlos III University. He also holds an MSc in Economics from Coripe Piemonte.

Feriozzi’s research interests lie in Corporate Finance and Banking, with a special focus on managerial compensation and interbank markets.

He has been an assistant professor of “Corporate Finance Theory” and “Contract Theory” in both graduate and undergraduate programs at Tilburg University.

Ronny Hofmann - Accounting and Management Control

Ronny Hofmann joins the Accounting and Management Control Area. Hofmann is German and holds a Ph.D. in Accounting and Information Management from Maastricht University. He also holds an International MBA from the Moore School of Business and an MBA from Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria, both in the area of finance.

Professor Hofmann’s research interests are focused on Financial Accounting (IFRS / US GAAP), Capital Markets, Financial Institutions, and Measurement and Disclosure of Financial Instruments.

He has taught Master-level courses that include “Risk Management” and“International Aspects of Group Reporting” at the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences, and has been a lecturer at the University of Western Australia and the Christian–Albrechts University at Kiel, Germany.

Kriti Jain - Organizational Behavior and Human Resources

Kriti Jain joins the OB-HR Area. Kriti is from India and holds a Ph.D. in Management from INSEAD (Singapore).  She also holds a Master of Arts from Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi, India.

Jain has research interests in Behavioral Decision Making, Judgmental Forecasting, Traits and Emotions at the Workplace, Crowdsourcing, and Negotiation.

She was a teaching assistant for “Uncertainty, Data & Judgment” for the MBA program as well as “Microeconomics” at PhD level, both at Insead.
