Digital and Ai-Assisted Health in the Time of Covid-19
The COVID-19 pandemic is happening at a time of technological optimism and promise. The digitalisation of health data, together with the advent of advanced data mining techniques, has brought forward the possibility of automating and even improving the tasks that healthcare professionals have traditionally conducted in a qualitative or semi-quantitative way.
The global dimension of the current health crisis has provided a fertile ground for digital and AI technologies to develop quickly. This rapid pace of development makes it particularly important to review and monitor the challenges and potential pitfalls.

Join us for a discussion with
Mireia Crispín, Director of the Program “Innovation, Sustainability and the Future of Healthcare” at the IE Center for the Governance of Change, and Borysiewicz Fellow, University of Cambridge, who will share the main findings of her research on the future of the healthcare system in Europe, focusing on the emergence of new technologies. The chat will be moderated by Carlos Luca de Tena, Head of Operations at the IE Center for the Governance of Change.
