The New Digital Domain

On Wednesday, September 23rd at 18h00 (CEST), the IE Center for the Governance of Change (CGC) will welcome Manuel Muñiz, Secretary of State for Global Spain, for the presentation of “The New Digital Domain”, a report that examines the impact of the pandemic on the key trends of the digital economy, geopolitics and social cohesion.

As we reconstruct our post-pandemic world, governing the digital domain will become central and a new set of policies and regulations to foster innovation whilst repairing the social fracture will be needed. This report is the starting point of a multi-year effort from the CGC that will research the drivers and implications of the digital economy and the fracture of the social contract to advance new solutions for global governance.

The discussion will be followed by a Q&A with the authors of the report:

– Taylor Owen, Director of the Centre for Media, Technology and Democracy at Max Bell School of Public Policy at McGill University.

– Edoardo Campanella, Future World Fellow at the IE Center for the Governance of Change.

Moderated by: Oscar Jonsson, co-author and Academic Director of the CGC.

The presentation will be hosted on Youtube live. You will receive a link prior to the event.

This event is part of the CGC's research program The Digital Revolution & the New Social Contract
