Asli Unan

King's College

Asli Unan is a PhD Candidate in Political Economy at King’s College London. Her work lies at the intersection of political economy and public policy. She examines the relationship between electoral incentives, political polarization and policy volatility; and studies the welfare implications of inconsistent policymaking. She uses formal game-theoretical modelling and econometrics applications in her research.

Previous to King’s College, Asli carried out research at Max Planck Institute and Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals. She holds a master’s degree in Political Science from Sabanci University and a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from METU.

Asli teaches Microeconomics and Research Methods at King’s College.
