Marcelo Di Pietro Peralta

Before joining WIPO, Mr. Di Pietro Peralta worked in a Federal Criminal Court in Buenos Aires, as a Collection Publisher in a Book Publishing House in Barcelona, Spain, and as an Attorney at Law for the Intellectual Property Department of Marval, O’Farrell and Mairal Law Firm in Buenos Aires.

Mr. Di Pietro Peralta joined WIPO in February 1995. In July 2010, he was appointed Director of the WIPO Academy. From January 2016, he has been Director, Development Sector, Office of Deputy Director General, South-South Cooperation and Special Projects, including the use of IP system for the promotion and leverage of tourism and cultural heritage in developing countries.

Mr. Di Pietro Peralta holds a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires and a Master of Law in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London.
