Metin Onal Vural

About me

Professor Menin Onal Vural joined the entrepreneurship faculty at IE in 2011. Previously, he studied at the London Business School, where he got a PhD in strategy and entrepreneurship.

Onal’s research focuses on design and coordination issues in dynamic environments including collaborations in invention teams and inter-organizational exchanges in new product development. He is particularly interested in how the design and coordination of work in invention teams affects the impact of resulting inventions.

He has discussed his research at a number of prominent international management conferences, including the Academy of Management, Academy of International Business and EGOS.

Onal’s interests include technology entrepreneurship, design of invention teams and management of innovation. Prior to teaching at IE Business School, Onal taught entrepreneurship classes at the London School of Economics Summer School.

He finds the experience of teaching in an international environment enriching and inspiring.
