IE Venture Network
IE Venture Networks are pitch slams that connect startups and investors, as well as aspiring entrepreneurs, in informal gatherings in English in Madrid and in various locations in Spanish across Spain. The “Pitch” is a super important tool for the entrepreneur and few opportunities exist where entrepreneurs can get expert feedback and pitch-coaching from real investors. IE Venture Network is a great way to perfect your pitch, get feedback on your product, meet the local startup community, and perhaps even close an investment.
IE Venture Network Area 31 - Thursdays @ 7pm in Area 31, C/María de Molina 31!
Every* Thursday at 7pm in Area 31 (IE Business School’s coworking space and home of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center) we hold an IE Venture Network! Startups are invited to apply to pitch (in English) before an audience of peers and an investor panel. Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to practice pitching, receive feedback and improve, while attendees are invited to ask questions, build relationships and stay abreast of what’s happening in the entrepreneurial ecosystem while sipping a beer. We host these events for the greater entrepreneurial community so feel free to invite your friends and colleagues and help us to help grow our entrepreneurial community. (P.S. No, you don’t have to be a current IE student or alum to participate or attend!)
If you are a startup and would like to apply, contact to firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
If you are an investor and would like to participate on the panel, please email us at email@example.com
*Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up for our departmental newsletter and stay in-the-know about our weekly, open-to-the-public events.
IE Venture Network – Across Spain
IE, in partnership with Banco Sabadell’s BStartup program, organizes Venture Network pitch events throughout Spain. As part of this partnership and in a joint effort to foster and support entrepreneurs based in Spain, ten Venture Networks (conducted in Spanish) are held in as many Spanish cities. At each of these pitch events, one winner is selected out of the 4 startups who are invited to pitch. In July, the ten finalists are invited to a final Venture Network held in Madrid where they compete before a final investor panel and one is named winner.
