Sonia Dorado’s professional experience has been linked to IE for over 9 years; originally she began in the Area of International Relations and later Sonia moved into the Area of Entrepreneurship. Among other projects, Sonia has managed the Banespyme-Orange project, a contest relating to innovative technology start-ups nationwide, having direct contact with experience-based entrepreneurial opportunity identification, feasibility and fundraising.
Sonia has also been involved in such projects as the Professional Advisory Service New Technology Based Firms of the Community of Madrid and the IMADE training program, which aimed to equip participants with the necessary tools to prepare business plans, financial plans and to develop effective marketing. Moreover, she has managed various training courses for entrepreneurs: Telefónica I + D, Uniemprendia and Madrid Emprende, where budding entrepreneurs enter with an idea they would like to mature and convert into a business project.
Currently, Sonia manages projects such as Passion>ie, an initiative that links the “innovation community" with business to develop innovative projects that can contribute to economic and social development; she also manages training programs for Wayra Telefonica, which supports innovative projects and cost related to information technology in AL and Europe. At the academic level, Sonia is a tutor in the Area of Entrepreneurial Management at IE Business School with projects undertaken by students from IE Business School and corporate projects of large companies in various sectors.
Sonia holds an MBA from IE Business School and has additional training, including courses such as Centered Learning Workshop Participation, Optimization and Management Multi project all areas involved in the business plan by IE Business School.
