Bootcamp Diary IV

Meet Simão

Introduce yourself in 140 characters or less

Hey there! Simão here. I have a background in Aerospace Engineering and a little bit of consulting experience.

What was your favorite part of this week at Bootcamp?

The Lunch and Learn with Synergic Partners. The presentation was extremely engaging, and you could see everyone’s gears processing the idea of actually working there, myself included. Having a tasty meal while doing this was the cherry on top.

This week’s resilience was also worthy of note. The group was smaller this week so the session was quite intimate and the few of us that were able to go left with high spirits. Shoutout to Rodrigo Aguirre Cárcer for that amazing session!

What was the hardest part of this week at Bootcamp?

Being sick. We’ve had a few fallen soldiers over the past few weeks, and this time it happened to both Willem and me. Bronchitis was my Halloween. Adapting to the dry weather is being difficult for a guy from the coastline, like myself. I don’t regret it at all, though.

What do you like to do outside Bootcamp?

The group is pretty tight-knit, and everyone gets along fine. I like the fact that I’m able to run every morning or night in a park I have right next to my house, as well as being able to hang out the few nights we have available with the international crowd in a few places around the city, like Dubliners, for instance.
