Ten years of professional experience in the areas of Gender Equality
Since 2011, she has been working at the World Bank, where she is primarily dedicated to mainstreaming gender in programs and development projects implemented in different regions such as Latin America and the Caribbean. Currently, as a gender and development expert, she provides technical support to World Bank teams to integrate gender aspects in energy access projects. This is important to ensure that women and men will benefit equally from electricity to improve their livelihoods in rural areas in African countries.
Carolina is the Founder of the social project “Roots + Sisters” that brings together female artisans and dressmakers and promotes women's empowerment and artisan fashion.
