Blueprint for Global Legal Education Report and the Future of Legal Services

IE Law School, the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Law Schools Global League (LSGL) developed a blueprint for global legal education to understand how globalization and technology impact legal education globally. This ambitious research project outlines a range of key challenges, ranked by importance and categorized by region, facing law schools globally together with existing and suggested responses that selected schools are already taking or could adopt.

Soledad Atienza y Maria José Esteban | IE Law Ahead


Soledad Atienza

Soledad Atienza is the Dean of IE Law School and has an extensive academic experience and a global vision of legal education. Dr. Atienza was previously Vice-Dean of International Relations at IE Law School, as well as Director of the law degree program at IE University. Prior to that, she practiced at the leading Spanish law firm Pérez-Llorca. Her expertise includes the areas of comparative law and legal teaching methods.


Maria José Esteban

Maria José Esteban is a contracted doctoral professor at ESADE Law School and a Senior Research Fellow at the Harvard Law School Center on the Legal Profession. Esteban’s research interests are focused on strategic quality management and innovation in law firms, as well as on the social, economic and regulatory analysis of the legal profession. She publishes in leading scholarly journals and is a frequent speaker at professional and academic conferences.
