About me

I was born in Alicante, but I have spent my whole life outside of Spain. I have lived in five different countries and it has been my first year in Spain starting university. Acting has been one of my biggest hobbies, that is why I enjoy public speaking as well as debating. Thanks to IE sport activities I have discovered another hobby of mine, cheerleading. Moreover, I enjoy dancing, fitness classes and I really like meeting new people! As an international student at IE, I immerse myself in a diverse and cosmopolitan environment and I can feel surrounded by a close and welcoming community.

Valeria Hernández, Spain

POSITION

University student

Valeria is a hardworking and self-motivated student completing the Dual Degree in Business Administration and Laws. Thanks to the comparative law methodology IEU offers, she has learnt to compare different countries’ stances on particular topics and see how different penalties are imposed on different cases depending on the country. She finds this approach particularly useful since she becomes more aware of the opportunities and limitations each jurisdiction brings.

Valeria’s interview is part of the Faces of IEU project, with seeks to bring closer together the IE community by sharing stories of students about their experience at the university, professionally, and about themselves. Through a series of interviews, students are able to share, explore and learn about opportunities that make IE University and its community truly unique.
