Meet Paula<\/h4>\n

Introduce yourself in less than 140 characters<\/h4>\n

Hola! My name is <\/span>Paula Estevez Cons<\/b><\/a>, and <\/span>I studied a Bilingual Degree in Business Administration at CUNEF, Madrid. Before joining the Bootcamp, I was working as an M&A analyst at an investment bank but decided to quit to learn about Data Science and programming!<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What was your favorite part of this week at Bootcamp?<\/h4>\n

What I really enjoy about the Bootcamp is the fact that every day is a new challenge<\/strong>. We are exposed to new situations, encouraged to push our limits and thus get the chance to see how our learning curves get steeper and steeper<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

What makes the difference, however, is the amazing people that are doing the Bootcamp with me. We are like a big family<\/strong>! We support and help each other and try to find time on the weekends to do things together besides coding and Data Science. It really feels like we knew each other for a lot more than just 4 weeks<\/strong>. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This week we had the first Data Lab session where we started working on the dataset that 3 partner companies, Indra<\/strong><\/a>, Amadeus<\/strong><\/a>, and Nielsen<\/strong><\/a> gave us. In our teams, we began to analyze the dataset we were given applying what we have learned until now both in R and Python. These Data Labs and the Case Challenge are a very good opportunity for us to work with real data, try to conduct a real problem and analysis facing the problems and challenges that Data Scientists face on a daily basis<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

For this week\u2019s Master Class we had Carlos Figueroa from Nielsen joining us. He spoke about the challenges that Data Scientists face, from collecting and validating the data to manipulating it and drawing results and conclusions. He pointed out the most common duties, tasks, or responsibilities that Data Scientists are engaged in in the different stages of data utilization. He also pointed out several tips and ideas that we would be able to recall and apply when the Bootcamp finishes and once we become real Data Scientists!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It is incredible how fast time passes<\/strong>, how much we have done and learned in just a few weeks. We receive and are encouraged to retain a lot of new concepts everyday but thanks to the fact that we practice, train and apply them on an ongoing basis, they manage to be stored in our memory<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you like to do outside Bootcamp?<\/h4>\n

I was born and raised in Madrid and have lived here for most of my life. I think Madrid has a lot to offer in terms of outdoor activities and unique places to explore like cafes, restaurants and unique stores. My friends and I are always looking for new places to go and check out<\/strong>. I also love playing sports, especially tennis, swimming, and golf. Every once in a while, my friends and I organize a day trip to go hiking in the mountains and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
