IE Data Science Bootcamp Demo Day 2017<\/h4>\n

The first generation of graduates of the IE Data Science Bootcamp completed their program and presented their capstone projects and innovative ideas to the public on Thursday, December 14th, 2017<\/strong>. This spectacular event<\/strong> <\/a>gave the Bootcampers an opportunity to demonstrate all that they\u2019ve learned and to dazzle their audience of recruiters and a panel of jurors with their presentations, which provided an insightful window into the lucrative world of data science.<\/p>\n

Our Bootcampers and Corporate Partners<\/h4>\n

Hailing from various countries such as Belgium, France, Germany, Iran, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain and the United States, our Bootcampers collaborated and worked in tandem, speaking publicly with confidence, wit, and charm. Our three groups of Bootcampers utilized real-life datasets from our partner companies, Indra<\/b><\/a>, Nielsen<\/b><\/a>, and Amadeus<\/b><\/a> and told us the stories behind the data<\/b>, about gin sales in Spain, healthcare, and air travel delays. Their fresh perspectives on the datasets provided our corporate partners with new insights and innovative cost-saving solutions to long withstanding problems. The attendees were granted an opportunity to pick the brains of the Bootcampers after each presentation.<\/p>\n

Picking the Brains of the Future Leaders in the Data Science Field<\/h4>\n

When asked to describe their experience in the Bootcamp in one word, multiple participants instinctively chose to say \u201cintense<\/strong>,\u201d while others said \u201cinteresting<\/strong>,\u201d \u00a0\u201cinnovative<\/strong>,\u201d and \u201c diverse<\/strong>.” They all went on to describe in great depth how they foresee that the experience will propel them further towards their career goals. Our corporate partners expressed what they look for in the profiles of new hires: drive, forward-thinking, and innovation. The Bootcampers are the future leaders in the data science field and are now equipped for the jobs of the future.<\/p>\n

A Global Community<\/h4>\n

After the presentations, there was a classy cocktail complete with tasty hors-d’oeuvres wherein the Bootcampers mingled with recruiters who attended to discover their next talented hires. The strong bonds between the Bootcampers were incredibly apparent as they laughed and bantered.<\/strong> In addition to the pragmatic programming and data science skills gained here, our Bootcampers are walking away from this experience with a network of global and ambitious peers.<\/strong><\/p>\n
