IE Business School Celebrates the Graduation of Its Top Management Programs at IE Tower
Madrid, July 4, 2025 – IE Tower’s auditorium hosted the closing ceremony of the Top Management Programs, an event that brought together executives from across Spain in a celebration full of emotion, pride and forward-looking vision.
The event began with a welcome address by Carola Arbolí, director of Open Programs, who greeted the attendees and introduced Martín Rodríguez Jugo, general manager of IE Lifelong Learning & Digital Learning. In his speech, Martín congratulated the graduates for choosing the path of effort, curiosity and resilience in returning to the classroom. He emphasized that learning is a lifelong journey, not a destination. He encouraged attendees to keep developing their strengths, remain connected with each other and with IE University, and to lead with commitment in a world that needs solid role models more than ever. He closed his remarks by reminding them, "You are made for more," a message that speaks to each graduate’s transformative potential, responsibility and lasting impact.
The ceremony continued with a keynote speech by Silvia Leal, an international expert in technology and future trends, who offered an inspiring perspective on leadership, innovation and purpose in an ever-changing business environment.
One of the most emotional moments came with the speeches of two student representatives:
- Pedro Tierno Corraliza, head of Airfreight and Customs and member of the Iberia Board at DB Schenker, graduate of the Senior Management Program in November 2024.
- Óscar J. Esteban Carbonero, quality director at Grupo Entrepinares, graduate of the Advanced Management Program, Castilla y León, 2025.
Both shared their experiences, challenges and achievements throughout the program, reflecting the spirit of perseverance and collaboration that defines the IE University community.
The most anticipated moment of the ceremony was the awarding of diplomas to the 12 cohorts, presented by their respective program directors, who acknowledged the dedication and commitment of the participants. Following that, Laura Strazzaboschi, deputy head of Alumni Engagement, gave the official welcome to the newest members of the alumni network, reinforcing the sense of global community.
The event concluded with the traditional Gaudeamus Igitur anthem, followed by group photos and a cocktail reception where graduates, program directors, faculty and staff celebrated together the end of a transformative journey and the beginning of a new chapter full of opportunity and growth.
