Manuel Jiménez began working in Air Nostrum, Líneas Aéreas, from its inception. He was initially in charge of part of the financial department as a financial controller, where among other responsibilities he negotiated the first aircraft leasing contracts. He has worked in several other departments within Air Nostrum and in 2003 was appointed as the new Air Nostrum Chief Operating Officer. He received his pilot’s license 13 years ago and currently flies for Air Nostrum as captain and instructor. He was the European Regions Airline Association representative at Single European Sky Air traffic Management Research (SESAR), for 2 years, in Brussels.
He has a bachelor degree in economics and a master in finance from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid for which he received the Universidad-Empresa two year scholarship. He studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill attending a course in international finance. He has attended several executive courses in Harvard, MIT and Kellogg.
