Thomas Sattler

Thomas Sattler is an Associate Professor in International Relations at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. Before moving to Geneva in summer 2015, Thomas Sattler was an Associate Professor at the London School of Economics & Political Science. He has also taught at the University College Dublin, was a post-doc at Princeton University and New York University and held research fellowships at Central European University, Budapest, and Trinity College Dublin. Thomas Sattler earned his Ph.D. from ETH Zurich, Switzerland. His research examines the effect of democratic political processes on financial markets, the impact of international institutions on state behaviour, and the political consequences of fiscal consolidations. Results from this research were published in journals like the British Journal of Political ScienceComparative Political Studies, the European Journal of Political Research, International Organization and the Journal of Politics.
