Professional experience
Visiting professor sharing his experience as professional consultant-coach in organizational development
Lionel is consultant, coach and facilitator helping business leaders to deal with their transformation, whether their own or of their team and organization.
Lionel has a 21-year background in business, with multiple perspectives: general management, bto-b sales, finance, strategy consulting and entrepreneurship. He worked at Solvay, Atos Worldline (ex Bansksys), AT Kearney, Arthur D. Little and 3 start-ups (of which he founded one).
As consultant and coach for the last 7 years, he has facilitated strategic processes and transformations of executives, teams and organizations, combining the perspectives of hard business matters with human dynamics and psychology.
He runs his company LIFRAN, made of a network of independent consultants/coaches involved on transformational assignments. His clients are mostly large companies, with Belgian and international operations, active in a broad spectrum of industries (e.g. chemicals, social services, payment).
His areas of expertise are:
Facilitation of delicate dialogues and decisions in teams
Cultural, strategic, organizational & governance change
Executive coaching, with a focus on the posture as a leader
Leadership team coaching and development

Initially graduated in Business and Finance for ICHEC Brussels and University of Greenwich (London), he pursued his academic education at M.I.T. Sloan School of Management (Boston) with a certificate in Leading change in complex organizations and at Insead (Fontainebleau) with an executive master in Consulting and Coaching for Change (clinical psychology applied to organizations). His thesis for the later was titled Transitioning from vertical to horizontal
leadership: The psychodynamics of middle managers’ shift of posture. It was directly linked to the current trend towards “eal”? or “liberated”? organizations.
Lionel is member of the board at Terre de Vie Foundation (supporting social impact entrepreneurs).
He is fluent in French, Dutch and English.
