The MIR class currently finds itself in the middle of presentations week, just before a week of finals.  The stress level is running high, which is great practice for the real world. Today we saw presentations from groups of students in our Business strategy class.  The particular case dealt with Wal-Mart and its dominance of the discount industry and its global reach.  Tomorrow we should see a pair of presentations in our Chinese culture class regarding both censorship and also negotiations between American and Chinese business leaders—highly interesting and highly relevant in today’s IR world.  This weekend should see some relief as most of the presentations will be over, but the celebration will be short, as we’ll all have to pop back into the library to study for finals.
