MIR Alumna named Vice President of the IE Social Responsibility Forum

mtbMichelle Travis-Blanchet just completed her Master in International Relations (MIR) at IE School of Arts and Humanities. As Vice President of the Social Responsibility Forum, Michelle will be responsible for the most anticipated event at IE Business School: The IE Social Responsibility Forum 2011.

The IE Social Responsibility Forum 2011 is the sixth annual event organized by IE students and hosted by the school’s Net Impact Chapter. It is the largest student-run event at IE Business School, bringing in many distinguished guests and innovative ideas.

On November 11th & 12th of 2011, the Forum Team invites you to explore the cutting edge developments within sustainability and management thinking. The theme for the 6th edition of the Social Responsibility Forum is “Invent your Paradigm“, and it will address questions on current visions of sustainability and discuss the kind of re-conceptualization necessary to become better managers, leaders, and global citizens. The 2011 Forum will enable a platform to discuss the most important sustainability paradigms and the rise of knowledge-sharing and adaptive learning needed for leadership, decision-making, and paradigm-shifting.

In the past, the IE Social Responsibility Forum has covered a broad range of issues such as Energy, Base of the Pyramid, Redefining Capitalism, and Corporate Social Responsibility. Some of the distinguished keynote speakers the Forum has hosted include Mr. José María Figueres, former president of Costa Rica, Mr. Jonathan Robinson, founder of the Hub, Mr. Jeremy Leggett, chairman of Solar Century, and Mr. Alejandro Litovsky, head of the Pathway to Scale program at Volans.
