Attendance Policy

The student attendance policy aims to guarantee a high quality and productive learning environment and will be valid regardless of whether a student attends class in person or online. The 24-25 IEU Attendance Policy can be found HERE.

Please keep the following in mind:

QWICKLY ATTENDANCE APP

Students can use the Qwickly Attendance App to check into class and to view their attendance records. Please check the Qwickly Attendance Instructions

IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE

The IE Attendance Policy calls for the IN-PERSON attendance of all students. If not previously approved by program management at the start of the semester, attending class online counts as an absence for the class. Students may not freely elect days to attend class online.

20% ABSENCE LIMIT

Bachelor degree students must attend at least 80% of sessions. This policy applies to any type of session: live in-person sessions on campus, asynchronous sessions, or remotely online as planned in the syllabus. Students attending less than 80% of sessions will be graded with a FAIL for the course. Personal trips, appointments, minor illnesses, family celebrations, or other personal matters will not be treated as an exceptional case and should be considered part of the 20% of allowed absences.

Students who do not meet the attendance requirement (80% of sessions) will fail the course in both the 1st and 2nd call. This implies that the student must re-enroll in the course the following academic year for the 3rd call (payment required).
