Daniel Ureña

Chair of the Observatory on US-Hispanic Politics

Daniel Ureña is President at The Hispanic Council, a think tank that promotes relations between the US Hispanic community and Spain. He is the Managing Partner at MAS Consulting, a public affairs firm that operates worldwide providing strategic advice to corporate and political clients.

Mr. Ureña is the coordinator of the Aula de Liderazgo Público at Comillas Pontificial University (ICADE) in Madrid and collaborates as lecturer with different universities and institutions.

The UK publication The Holmes Report included recently Mr. Ureña in its ranking of “Innovator 25 EMEA”, as one of the most innovator leaders in communication, reputation and influence field from Europe, Middle East and Africa. In 2008 he was the first Spanish consultant awarded by US Campaigns & Elections Magazine as “Rising Star” and in 2010 was the first Spanish consultant recognized with a Pollie Award by the American Association of Political Consultants.

As guest speaker, Mr. Ureña has been invited by entities like Harvard University, The Brookings Institution, The George Washington University, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, International Democratic Union, etc. in countries like USA, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Panama, Ecuador, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Serbia, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Morocco, Ukraine, etc.

Mr. Ureña holds a degree in Journalism by University of Navarra and a graduate program in Political Management at The George Washington University and a PDD Management Program by IESE Business School and a Masters in Northamerican Studies by University of Alcala.
