Among them, our Startup Lab is a creative hub that gives master&#8217;s students the chance to bring their innovative ideas to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-can-the-startup-lab-do-for-you\"><a><\/a>What can the Startup Lab do for you?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to entrepreneurship, we believe that putting theory into practice shouldn\u2019t wait until after graduation. So, at IE University, great business ideas don\u2019t sit around collecting dust. Throughout the project, participants learn \u201chow to build their startup deck and iterate their business models to fit the markets they have validated.\u201d Through academic workshops and modules delivered by world-class faculty members, participants in the Startup Lab get to grips with \u201cdesign thinking and the tools and metrics needed\u201d for successful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ie.edu\/uncover-ie\/discover-our-entrepreneurship-ecosystem-and-turn-your-vision-into-reality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">entrepreneurship<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steffany also emphasizes the practical aspect of the Startup Lab. The lab features weekly pitches to simulate valuation and get students into the mindset needed to deliver an impactful presentation. This happens through close collaboration with fellow students as well as experienced faculty. As she says, \u201cworking with a dedicated mentor from the start and tapping into a pool of industry experts and entrepreneurs means the opportunities for students to grow their network and key learnings are limitless.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-put-your-business-plan-into-action\"><a><\/a>Put your business plan into action<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you have a complete plan or just an idea, the Startup Lab&#8217;s resources will set you up for success. International MBA alum <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=awCeawvx_Eo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eben de Jongh<\/a>, founder and managing director of his own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ie.edu\/uncover-ie\/how-to-start-a-startup\/\">startup<\/a>, was impressed by the practicality of the Startup Lab. For him, \u201cthe most challenging aspect is having to pitch every single week.\u201d As he recalls, that meant presenting a brand new business idea to a panel of investors just five days into the program\u2014this is essential for showing the budding entrepreneur how to get the best of themself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=45OzaEmYPKs\">Jason Yeager<\/a>, now working in talent acquisition at Speechify, also took part in the Startup Lab in 2019. He also took valuable lessons from the practical components of the program. These emphasized the importance of persistence and \u201cthe amount of action you have to put in every single day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Startup Lab enables you to get your ideas off paper and into the real world. By the end of the five weeks, you\u2019ll have a complete concept, plan and business pitch to present to angel investors. As a simulation of entrepreneurial processes, it\u2019s a truly unique opportunity to get ahead in the world of startups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-intrepraneur-or-entrepreneur-how-to-define-your-journey\">Intrepraneur or entrepreneur?
