Could you describe the role of the Chile international office and the functions it performs?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As one of IE University’s approximately 30 glo<\/a>b<\/a>al offices<\/a>, we play a crucial role in uniting students from diverse backgrounds and experiences at our university. Our mission is to facilitate your professional development by linking you with both local and international job and networking opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IE University also maintains strong partnerships with local companies, universities and organizations to enhance its influence and provide our students with valuable job opportunities on a local, regional and global scale. Noteworthy collaborations include our ties with Imagine Lab, a local accelerator backed by Microsoft, and Proqualitas, a major player in customer experience consulting in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, we serve as a vital connection for the local IE Alumni<\/a> community, which includes over 1,000 members in Chile. Your membership in the IE Community<\/a> extends beyond your academic years; we remain actively involved in supporting your career long after you graduate, ensuring that your connection with IE University endures well into your professional life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does the admissions process entail for candidates from Chile?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

IE University’s admissions process<\/a> is tailored to highlight the distinctive aspects of your academic and personal background, ensuring a good fit with our educational philosophy. The process consists of several stages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Online application:<\/strong> Begin by filling out an online application<\/a> and paying a non-refundable fee of \u20ac150. Your application can be adjusted as needed but must be submitted within one month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Admissions test:<\/strong> Next, you will need to demonstrate your critical-thinking and reasoning abilities with an admissions test<\/a>. Depending on which program you are applying for, you may need to take our IE Global Admissions Test (ieGAT), or another exam such as the GMAT, GRE, CFA or CAIA. Visit the admissions section within your program\u2019s information page to find out the specific requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. You may also need to complete a test of English<\/a>, which can be TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge C1 Advanced\/C2 Proficiency, or the Duolingo English Test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Kira assessment: <\/strong>The Kira assessment<\/a> is done via an online platform, where candidates respond to three questions in real time. This assessment, which lasts approximately 20 minutes, tests your critical-thinking abilities and ability to respond in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Personal interview:<\/strong> For the personal interview, we recommend that you concentrate on your motivations and passions and how they align with IE University’s core values<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final decision by the Admissions Committee. You can expect to hear from us within a couple of weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do applicants need to know about the student visa process?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s important to note that you must be already enrolled in a full-time program to begin the visa process. The Student Services<\/a> department and our team in the office here in Chile will guide you in liaising with your local Spanish consulate. The student visa<\/a> process can seem complicated, but we are here to support you throughout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part of the visa application requires a criminal record check covering all countries where you’ve lived in the past five years, which must be translated and notarized. Additionally, a medical certificate confirming good health is needed, which also requires translation and notarization. If you have dual nationality, especially if one nationality is European, you might be exempt from some visa requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can I find accommodation when studying in Spain?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Relocating to Spain can be a significant adjustment, but we’re here to facilitate your transition. When searching for accommodation, we highly recommend our trusted provider, Beyond Campus<\/a>, to find IE University-approved housing in Madrid or Segovia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can Chilean applicants secure financial aid?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
