Hey! What's up? I'm Ricky, an 18 years old student of the Bachelor of Business Administration at IE University and a future business man. As I really enjoy the marketing branch of business, and I am very creative, I decided to create social media content and design marketing tools for companies and individuals to succeed in the social environment. I also realized that because of it's international environment, IEU was exactly what I needed to improve my knowledge, expand my vision and make new contacts.

3. Roberto Villameriel

Dual Degree in Business Administration and International Relations

Spanish

A group of five people and I created last year a student led initiative called LEAP Conferences. We realized that students from IE have so much potential that sometimes is not used to its maximum level. We decided to create something that would inspire students to be entrepreneurial, take action and experience a 'breakthrough'. We want all the students to feel they have the capacity and potential to reach their dreams, regardless of whether that includes having a startup, founding an NGO or participating in an international competition. I believe everyone can be an entrepreneur on their own way.

You don't have to be different, you just have to be nonconformist and be willing to create your own opportunities.

6. Luca Neil Treskatsch

Bachelor in Business Administration
2019
German

Personally for me the vision of aiding others has become a strong passion and that I thrive to peruse in my later career path of choice. Early on in my life, I had the great privilage of working as an Intern for several months at some of the most known companies in Germany, Spain and England. This provided me with explicit insights into the processes involved in International Law, Business development, Marketing and Sales of organisations. It helped me a lot to clarify my vision and know where I want to be later in life. With IE University, I feel that I can make this vision into a reality and accompany any desired job around the globe and have this international awareness that I find so fascinating.

I am a 19 years old student at IE University. Currently in second year of the Bachelor in Business Administration, I wanted to share one of my greatest achievements with the IEU community. It is linked to one of my strongest passions: sailing. Two years ago I obtained my sailing instructor diploma and this enabled me to transmit something I love to a large public. The greatest reward is seeing the joy in children’s eyes when they finally learn how to sail, it feels like one of the best sensations on earth.

One of my greatest passions in life is the global vision of the Economics and it is the reason why I chose this degree at IE university. It seems the perfect opportunity to start improving and implementing my personal and entrepreneurial skills, such as the capacity to identify and catch future global or international companies and help to develop their projects making profitable, efficient, environmentally-friendly and sustainable enterprises. I consider myself an open-minded person who is keen on overcoming her fears and show her potential to create a better version of herself and the world we live in. Another of my passions is travelling, the best and quickest path to learn and understand how the world works today. So that's to say we have to keep up with world's rhythm and be aware of all technological innovations in order to contribute to the evolution with the best of us.

After finishing my exchange programe at IE University I managed to get at marketing traineeship at Pernod Ricard. This is the second largest spirits producer in the world and is operating at a global level. This was a great opportunity for me and being able to get this opportunity was also due to my
exchange semester at IE. During my stay in Segovia I experienced an international atmosphere which was really helpful for getting a traineeship at such a global company. Besides working for Pernod Ricard I started my own clothing label in Amsterdam which is starting to grow.

3. Karen Joseph

Bachelor in Psychology
2018
Australian

I came to IE on a single semester exchange last fall. From what I study to how I spend my spare time reflects my passion of coming to understand the diversity of the world. The array of cultures is something so valuable to our global community and is something I continue to explore. One of my most rewarding travel experiences was the few months I spent in Bali on a small island volunteering at a national park foundation. Coming to personally understand such a contrasting culture was extremely rewarding. The most gratifying was my close relationship that I developed particularly with the local children who would show up to attend my english classes on a daily basis. I believe learning about other cultures is something truly important for everyone as it changes your perspectives and priorities in life completely.

1. Anna Alvemalm

Bachelor in Architecture

I knew I made the right decision by coming to IE from the start. Unlike others, IE posed no restrictions, there were no boundaries set in place. They don't want us to all turn out the same and rather encourage difference. All of my achievements are unique to me, and all of our different passions are equally fostered and motivated.

Being an IBDP graduate has fostered in me an awareness of the impact I can have on the world around me and helped me gain time management and organizational skills I will need in my profession. In addition, undertaking a rigorous study program has shown me the importance of hard work and perseverance. Participating and winning in international science fairs like the Intel ISEF and ISWEEEP 2015 further bolstered my confidence in my abilities and future plans. I am receiving the education that will give me a scientific insight into architecture and also a diverse design studio atmosphere that will spark my creativity and innovation.

3. Oskar Woehr

Bachelor in Psuchology
2019
Swiss, USA

Ever since I have been 15 years old i have been working in different companies every summer, such as working with handicapped kids and interning at Nestle, and currently during this year of University as well. I have come to realize that one can not live life in an impactful way without connecting with people and gaining experience through constant learning in every part of daily life. I am currently working on my biggest achievement yet as i am co-directing the organization of a non-profit student-led conference: Leap Conferences. The journey to make this event a reality has been unbelievable as I've had to learn so many new skills to steer this organization in the direction of success. The leadership required to keep a team of over 10 people on track is one that is not learned without effort. To be able to keep the fire alive with a new team must be done with rigor, determination and pure internal motivation for the outcome of greatness. I am happy that this event will unfold beautifully this year, even after having become detoured on multiple occasions, bringing impactful and successful international speakers from different walks of life.
What's most important for a meticulous outcome that you can be proud of is to always love what you do; if you don't love what you do then you are only harming yourself and the result won't be as satisfying.

At the moment, an investor is willing to take the project to the next level. I am really looking forward to the following steps. Whatever people say, one does feels great creating a company out of thin air through hard work. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in a follow up.

I see IE University as an International community pushing you to embark on a journey that will teach you how to truly become a global citizen: I know it can sound banal, but it is not something anyone of us can be born with. It is that sense of belonging to an incredibly varied but beautiful and enriching family what still surprises me the most, turning my daily life as a student into a celebration of cultures and diversity. From Italy to Madrid, from Madrid to Singapore in the spaces of three years, thanks to different languages and a unique passion for international relations, IE gave me the possibility of living a real adventure which I wish could never stop.
