Enrollment process

You will be able to enroll at IE University once you have completed your high school studies, met the admission requirements and paid to reserve your place.

First-year students

Step 1: Complete and sign your enrollment contract

During this stage, you must indicate the tuition payment option you have selected, fill out the required information, and digitally sign the enrollment contract. If you are under 18 years old, one of your parents or your legal guardian must also digitally sign the contract.

Once the deadline has passed, students who are still only conditionally enrolled may be denied entry during that academic year.

ACADEMIC DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ENROLLMENT

REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS WITHIN THE SPANISH EDUCATION SYSTEM

If you have studied in Spain, or in a school outside Spain that follows the Spanish education system, you will need to submit your EBAU/EVAU official scorecard to demonstrate that you have officially passed the exam.

Countries that have a bilateral agreement with Spain

If you have studied in the European Union, Switzerland or any other country with a bilateral agreement with Spain, or possess a European or International Baccalaureate Diploma, you will need to submit the credentials given by Spanish National University of Distance Education (UNED). You can find more information about the educational systems and countries with bilateral agreement with Spain in the following document provided by UNED (page 16).

UNED Regulations

Students coming from other education systems

If you have studied in a country that does not currently have a bilateral agreement with Spain, you must first ensure that you will be allowed to enter Spain with a student visa. In this case, you must officially validate your credentials through the Spanish Ministry of Education.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS TO ENROLL AT IE UNIVERSITY

Below you can find details on the legal requirements and steps needed to validate your credentials in order to formalize your enrollment. The process of validation can take anywhere from 3 to 6 months. Your enrollment at IE University cannot be official until your credentials have been processed by the Spanish Ministry of Education. INFORMATION ON FEES FOR STUDENTS TRANSFERRING OR CHANGING PROGRAM

Payment methods and options are exactly the same as for first-year students.

Once you have completed the credit recognition process and paid to reserve your place, you will be able to enroll at IE University, sign the contract and pay the IE Foundation contribution (see Steps 1 and 2 for first-year students above). The total amount of tuition fees payable will depend on the number of recognized credits you bring from your previous university as shown on your credit recognition report. To comply with the legal requirements for official access, you must submit your official university transcripts to the Admissions Department. If your university of origin is non-European, you will need to legalize your documents first.

Visiting students

Once you have paid to reserve your place for the upcoming semester, you will be able to select your courses of choice in the enrollment platform and then enroll at IE University by signing the contract. Visiting students do not receive the benefits of the IE Foundation contribution and therefore are exempt from this payment.

Payment methods and options for visiting students:

Visiting students may only pay for their semester at IE University by making one full payment.
