Amadeus and IE University expand Travel4Impact network for SMEs
Travel4Impact is a collaborative project designed to support the travel and tourism industry by improving the competitiveness and positive impact of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Amadeus and IE University have launched the second edition of Travel4Impact across Europe, by supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the critical role they play in the ongoing renewal of travel and tourism. The Travel4Impact network supports SMEs which focus on digitalization and sustainability as part of their strategy. This initiative, which is part of Amadeus’ Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, is 100% subsidized for SMEs and includes training, mentoring and networking opportunities.

More than 20 European tourism SMEs will be selected and invited to participate in the Launchpad phase. SMEs who are interested in joining the Travel4Impact project must complete this form before July 31st. SMEs will find all the information needed in the Travel4Impact webpage. In addition, on July 5th and 13th (XX:00) there will be an information session which SMEs can join by clicking on the following link.

“During the Launchpad, participants will benefit, for a period of approximately three months, from networking opportunities, mentoring and training by travel and tourism industry leaders, as well as experts in sustainability, business management and innovation.
Concepción Galdón, Head of the Center for Social Innovation and Sustainability, IE University

The long-term goal of this initiative is the creation of a global network. The project started in 2021 in Spain and is designed to evolve into an international community.

Esther Villena, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, Amadeus, says: “We launched this programme in Spain in 2021, reaching the participation of more than 20 SMEs. The participants benefited from training from tourism industry leaders as well as business and sustainability experts, knowledge exchange with other participants, networking opportunities. They became part of a community of SMEs sponsored by Amadeus and IE University. I am delighted to report that 85% of participants in the launchpad consider that their business has better future expectations thanks to taking part in the initiative, compared to when starting the program in 2021. We are now expanding Travel4Impact across Europe as we continue our efforts to support SMEs in their critical role they play in the ongoing renewal of our industry.”
