The team of “Building commitment” has won the first place in the second edition of the Interpersonal Skills Competition

IE University’s BBA students, taking the course “Interpersonal Skills”, taught by Psychology professor Neringa Kalpokaite, have taken part today of the Interpersonal Skills Competition 2014, a competition where their ability to persuade others, their leadership and communication skills, among other aspects, are evaluated. The challenge was for them to create an enterprise and make the audience invest in them. Each of the teams has had 20 minutes to present their project and answer the questions the jury of IE University faculty had for them.

Fundamental criteria for the jury to choose the winner are based on the characteristics belonging to interpersonal skills: delivery, organization in the presentation of ideas, verbal communication (Quality, Pitch, Articulation, Pronunciation and Force) and non verbal (Stage Presence and Power of Expression); among other more general criteria as team work and visual aids.

WINNERS

At last, the “Building commitment” team, made up by Sharon Tirado, Luna Allani, Antonio Balseiro, Paulo Guerson, Petra Sass and Pedro Machado, won. Second place went to “Creativity”, team formed by Mahmoud Hamed, Sebastian Kruger, Benjamin Ranft, Chadine Alj, Melina Bernardini and Sara Krumpak.

Jury was comprised by the BBA Program Director, Isabel Sánchez; Vice-Rector for Students, Miguel Larrañaga; and International Relations professor, Michele Testoni.

The winning team received a certificated signed by the BBA director, Isabel Sánchez, that manifested her satisfaction on the good work of all students and the high quality of the presentations.
